The community is coming together after five people were shot, three of them dying, in a shooting at Advance Granite Solutions in Edgewood.

Wednesday evening, mourners gathered at the corner of Emmorton Rd & Edgewood Rd for a candlelight vigil.

"This was very sad, but this vigil is good because it’s how a community and a county come together to pray for everybody concerned," said Ron Sollod of Edgewood.

Dozens stood less than a half mile from the shooting scene and prayed together along with religious leaders of many faiths.

Ibrahim Kucuk, a manager at Advanced Granite Solutions, spoke about how close co-workers are at the small business.

"We have worked together with these wonderful people for years in a peaceful setting," Kucuk said. "The AGS family, our friends and our community are lifting up our lost members in our prayers."

Community members hoped to send a message of support to victims families. That includes Bryan Dailey, who lost his father last year. Pat Dailey was one of two Harford County Sheriff's Deputies shot and killed just a mile and a half away. Despite the day's chilling reminder of what has been lost in this community, Dailey's son brings a message of hope.

"Stay close, stay strong and anyone can get through anything. If you just stick together and stay strong," he said.
