A 27-year-old is dead after he was hit by a white pickup truck on Thursday.

Investigators say Kenard Hawkins was on a crosswalk at the intersection of St. Barnabas Road and Wheeler Road when a pickup truck hit him while they were turning left.

Officers say the pickup truck is white and has a ladder on the top or side.
