The Babe Ruth Birthplace Foundation and Sports Boosters of Maryland celebrated the 35th Anniversary of the 1983 World Series Champion Baltimore Orioles.
More than 1,000 people gathered together on Wednesday evening at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in Downtown Baltimore.
“Like the Orioles, the Sports Boosters of Maryland have been a part of Baltimore since the 1950s. With grants for programs promoting self-awareness and teamwork through sports, we have served children of Central Maryland for 68 years,” said Gary Lenet, President, Sports Boosters of Maryland. “We are proud to co-host the ‘83 Reunion Gala commemorating one of the most important years in Orioles history.”
A “parade of champions” took place followed by highlights of the ‘83 season shared by former players took the stage to share stories, memories, and sentiments from the championship season.
