An earthquake rocked a good chunk of the Mid-Atlantic Wednesday evening, which set social media in a frenzy. The earthquake registered as a 4.1 on the Richter scale and was felt as far north as New York City.
What About Aftershocks?
Aftershocks will be a possibility but they'll be expected to be far weaker than the earthquake earlier this evening. Therefore, most of us away from the epicenter, or earthquake location, will not feel it. Be sure to report whether you felt the earthquake or not to theUSGS. They will use your reports in their assessments.
